Terms of Service

Effective date: March 24, 2026

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Authlix, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. Service scope

Authlix provides software licensing and operator tooling, including project management, license generation, API key management, metadata configuration, and validation endpoints. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

3. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, controlling access to your operator account, and ensuring that API keys are rotated and scoped appropriately. You must promptly notify us of any suspected unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use Authlix to violate applicable law, distribute malicious software, interfere with service integrity, attempt unauthorized access, or process content that infringes the rights of others. We may suspend access if use creates security, legal, or operational risk.

5. Customer data

You retain responsibility for the data you submit, including usernames, metadata fields, project information, and license lifecycle data. You must ensure that submitted data is lawful and that you have a valid basis to process any personal data contained in metadata payloads.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime. Scheduled maintenance, infrastructure incidents, and third-party failures may affect service availability. We may modify the service as part of ongoing improvement or security work.

7. Intellectual property

Authlix and its associated interface, branding, and software remain our property or the property of our licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of the service itself. You retain rights in your own software, project configuration, and submitted content.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity. Our aggregate liability for claims arising out of the service will not exceed the amount you paid for the service during the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, create security risk, or use the service in a way that could harm other users or our infrastructure.

11. Governing terms

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of the service, without regard to conflict of law principles. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
